Dr. Greg Gilbert
Veterinarian | B.V.Sc ( Hons ) MRCVS | Certified Equine Dentist
Greg graduated from Sydney University in 1987. He then worked in the Batemans Bay and Braidwood areas before heading overseas and working in several equine and mixed practices in Ireland and England. He has even spent some time on a thoroughbred stud in India helping implement effective breeding programs. He established Braidwood Veterinary Surgery in 1989.
Greg has left his serious motorbike riding days behind after too many broken bones and now days enjoys spending time with his family (wife Nicola and two sons) on their small property on the outskirts of town.

Dr. Rhiannon Rhodes
Veterinarian | B.V.Bio, B.V.Sc
Rhiannon joined our team in mid 2021 after completing her veterinary degree at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga. She grew up on a cattle property in the Braidwood region and was surrounded by cattle, horses, dogs, cats, poddy calves, rabbits, chooks and ducks. Moving interstate for high school with her family, she was keen to return to the area eventually.
Throughout university, Rhiannon has enjoyed all livestock, equine and small animal studies. She has a passion for livestock health and reproduction, especially cattle. She also particularly enjoys new puppy and kitten consultations.
Rhiannon enjoys being active and outside gardening or watching cattle graze with a good book.

Dr. Gianna Zuch
Veterinarian | B.V.Sc
Gianna joined our team in 2021 having recently moved from Sydney. She grew up on the South Coast and graduated from Sydney University in 2008.
Following graduation Gianna worked on the central coast then went overseas, volunteering at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) vet clinic in Fiji and working in the UK for two years. She has also worked in Brisbane and Sydney and has over 12 years experience treating dogs, cats and pocket pets.
Gianna enjoys cooking, bushwalking and spending time with her husband and two young children.

Amie
Veterinary Nurse I CIV VN
Amie joined our team in 2016 as an experienced groomer. She has an extensive background with animals having worked on dairy farms, in boarding kennels, pet shops, dog grooming salons and doggy day-care facilities. Keen to further her knowledge in the veterinary industry, she completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2019 and is now working as a full-time nurse here at the clinic. Amie has a specific interest in surgical nursing and critical patient care.
Outside of the clinic Amie enjoys playing music, the great outdoors & spending time with her dogs Jack & Squirt.
Nicola Gilbert
Practice Manager | B.A Dip Ed
Nicola met Greg at Sydney University where she studied a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education. Upon establishing Braidwood Veterinary Surgery with Greg in 1989, she took on the management, administration, reception and nursing which she really enjoys.
Nicola has a real passion for horses (much to Greg’s horror) and competes regularly in dressage and eventing competitions, or can be found spending time with their lovely two boys.

Donna
Donna joined our team in 2013, bringing with her an extensive background and years of experience in administration and office management. Donna has extreme patience, with both the four legged and two legged species! Donna has had a lifelong interest in animals, and is currently kept busy with her many dogs and horses.
When she is not at work, Donna can be found gardening, horse riding, or watching her children with their many interests.

Trudy
Groomer
Trudy joined our team in 2021, bringing her past experience in makeup artistry to create flair through her exceptional dog and cat grooming services.
Trudy has had a variety of animal experiences throughout her life, having worked with horses, llamas, donkeys, goats, and most recently dogs and cats at a local boarding facility.
Trudy is kept busy at home looking after her chooks, dog, cats, llamas and alpacas. She also enjoys drawing animal portraits and hanging out at dog friendly beaches with her partner.

Lorraine & Cersei
Sisters Lorraine and Cersei joined the team in November 2022 as trainee nurses. They
exceed in a variety of roles but are showing particular skills in nursing (particularly patient warming, monitoring and comforting), product reviews (especially our soft bedding range) and food testing.
The girls can often be found hanging around reception greeting clients and patients,
although they are yet to earn their keep by answering the phones.
